Given that Quordle is like Wordle but a lot harder, there's no shame if you're searching for the daily Quordle answers for game #229. Or rather 'answers' plural, as Quordle has four solutions to find each day.
If you've not played it yet, you should — it offers four times the fun of the original viral word game. But it's arguably more than four times as difficult, as you only have nine guesses to find the quartet of words. (Some days Wordle is harder of course — although today's Wordle answer is not too bad.)
Like Wordle, it also resets each day, so if you miss one game you'll have no way of knowing what the previous daily Quordle answers were. Well, unless you bookmark this page, in which case you'll be able to check today's Quordle answers at your leisure, as I'll be updating it each morning.
But be warned: spoilers lie ahead for game #229, so only read on if you want to know today's Quordle answers! And please don't use this page to cheat and pretend to others that you got it right when you didn't really. That would be a misuse of my hard work.
Before I get on to today's Quordle answers, I'll give you a few hints to guide you in the right direction. I've got three starter clues for you, then one big hint at the end. And after that I'll tell you the answers, promise.
So, here are your starter clues:
* By vowel I'm meaning A, E, I, O, U. There are other letters that are sometimes considered to be vowels, depending on how they are used.
The daily Quordle answers for game #229 are a bit trickier than some, so here's another clue to give you an advantage with one of them: One of today's Quordle answers is a material for writing on.
Sill stuck? Then let's move on to the answers.
So, what are today's Quordle answers for game #229?
I won't make you wait any longer — here you go:
The daily Quordle answers for game #229 are potentially difficult if only because there are lots of solutions for three of the answers. The other one, CHAFF, features a repeated F, while both PAPER and LOWLY also have repeats.
You'll definitely want a good strategy to help solve it, then, because Quordle is never easy as such. My approach involves playing three set words at the outset in order to eliminate or confirm as many common letters as possible.
At the moment, those three words are ORATE, DINGY and CLUBS, and they've so far given me decent results. That wasn't the case today, though — I had four letters in either green or yellow for one puzzle, three for two more and just two for the final one.
With eight letters still to find, I was battling the odds to complete this one. And things immediately got a lot worse. In the bottom left, I had four letters, so I started here. SPORE looked possible, and indeed it confirmed four of the letters, but not the second one. So I tried SHORE. Wrong again. That left me with SWORE, which was correct, but I'd now used up all my 'spare' guesses.
That meant I had three goes remaining to solve three puzzles — a tough ask when I still lacked quite a few letters. On the plus side, SPORE and SHORE had confirmed letters in the top left and right, while SWORE had added the W to the bottom right.
I gambled on the top left first, where I now had three green letters at the start, CHA. Without many options for letters to play, I tried CHAFF and got it right.
That didn't help with the other two, though. In the top right I had yellow L, O and W, plus green Y at the end of the answer. LOWLY was one possible solution I spotted, but JOWLY would also have fitted. In the bottom right, I could make PAPER… but PAVER would also work.
I didn't have much choice but to guess, so I went with LOWLY and PAPER and got lucky. Both were right, so I completed today's Quordle puzzle on the final guess and with a big sigh of relief.
Hopefully you all solved it too.
If you're looking for a list of older Quordle answers, we can also help. Here's a list going back 20 games.
Quordle is one of the many Wordle clones to have arrived in the wake of Wordle's huge success. It's essentially the same game, but you play four versions of it simultaneously and have nine attempts to guess all the answers.
The letters behave as they do in Wordle, turning green if they're in the right place, yellow if they're in the word but in the wrong location, and gray if they're not included in the answer at all.
A nice extra is that though there's only set puzzle per day, a practice mode is also included. And you might well need it, because it's pretty difficult.
If Quordle is too tough for you, you might prefer something in our list of the best Wordle alternatives, but if you want an even more stressful test then we'd recommend either Squabble or Octordle.
We also like the new Heardle, which is like Wordle for pop music, plus the geography-based Wordle clone Worldle, the Star Wars-themed SWordle and the math-based Mathler, among others.
But the original is still the best, so don't forget to also check our the best Wordle start words and to look at today's Wordle answer if you won't get a chance to play.

However, I will mostly upload a blog about bikes and their development in the next few months! Recently, I have so much into ebike cargo. They say this type of bike can replace the car! And I am very into it since my place is crowded with traffic jams! The video above showed a funny situation: I started the review from Brooks's handle! And after nine years! It's still an excellent bike handle and not even destroyed!

Hi, hi, hi. So, it's been a while for the last couple of weeks since I have considered buying a cargo bike. The reason is that I am often trapped in a traffic jam because I can't get faster in my car.

Custom LEGO Transformers Devastator
My faith in humanity is restored! OK, that’s a bit overboard – but you couldn’t blame me if you see an incredibly, exquisitely and wonderfully executed custom LEGO Transformers Devastator such as this by Alex Jones. I feel transported to the 80’s once again, with the same intense childhood wonder when I first saw the Constructicons combine and become the formidable Devastator.
