10 Countries That Have the Largest Natural Gas Reserves in the World – Natural Gas or Natural Gas is a fossil fuel in the form of gas. According to the definition of Law no. 22 of 2001, Natural Gas is the result of a natural process in the form of hydrocarbons under conditions of atmospheric pressure and temperature in the form of a gas phase obtained from the mining process of Oil and Gas. Based on data quoted from the CIA World Factbook, the number of natural gas or natural gas reserves in the world is still around 191.4 trillion cubic meters (cubic meters or abbreviated as cu m).
Of the confirmed total gas reserves in the world, 34.02 trillion cubic meters or around 17.8% of them are in Iran's territory, making it the country with the largest natural gas reserves in the world. In second place as a country that has the largest natural gas reserves in the world is Russia with total natural gas reserves of 32.6 trillion cubic meters or about 17% of the total natural gas reserves in the world. While in third place is Qatar with total natural gas reserves of 25.07 trillion cubic meters.
Our country, the Republic of Indonesia, is in 13th place with natural gas reserves of 2.83 trillion cubic meters.
