Number Plate Code/Motorized Vehicle Numbers in Indonesia - Every Motorized Vehicle operated on the road must be accompanied by a Motorized Vehicle Registration Certificate and a Motorized Vehicle Number Certificate. The Motorized Vehicle Number (TNKB) must contain the area code, registration number and validity period. This Motor Vehicle Number Sign is often referred to as the Police Number (Nopol) or Number Plate. The material used for license plates for motorized vehicles in Indonesia is made of aluminum and must be installed on every motorized vehicle operated on the road.
Numbers or serial numbers for registration of motorized vehicles are allocated according to the group of types of motorized vehicles, namely:

The validity period of the license plate or number plate of a motorized vehicle in Indonesia is located under the registration number in smaller writing. The validity period consists of the first 2 (two) numbers indicating the month the validity period ends and the last 2 (two) numbers being the year the validity period ends.
