Country Profile Mongolia – Mongolia is a Republican country located in East Asia. This landlocked country only shares land borders with two countries, namely Russia to the north and China (China) to the south. In the 13th century, Mongolia was the center of the Mongol empire which succeeded in conquering most of Asia and Europe. However, the Mongol Empire founded by Genghis Khan suffered a setback and finally returned to their own territory, namely mainland Mongolia at the end of the 14th century.

In the 17th century, this Mongol territory was controlled by China under the rule of the Qing Dynasty. Mongolia then declared its independence from China's Qing Dynasty rule in 1911 but was not recognized by the Chinese government (in fact it was gaining autonomous power). The Chinese government officially recognized Mongolia's independence in 1921. Currently, Mongolia adheres to a parliamentary republic government system, which is a system of government in which the head of state is the president and the head of government is the prime minister. The capital city of Mongolia is Ulaanbaatar.
Mongolia has an area of 1,564,116 km2 with a population of 3,068,243 people. The majority of the Mongolian population is ethnic Khalkha Mongol, which is 81.9% and Buddhist (53%). The official language of Mongolia is Mongolian. The Gobi Desert which is one of the largest deserts or deserts in the world is in this country. Astronomically, Mongolia lies between 41°-52°N (a small area is located at 52°) and 87°-120°E.
In the economic field, Mongolia has a gross domestic income of US$ 37 billion with a per capita income of US$ 12,300,-. About 85.1% of Mongolia's commodities are exported to neighboring China. Mongolia's export commodities include copper, clothing, livestock, wool, cashmere, non-ferrous metals, coal and oil. The majority of Mongolia's population is engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry, which is around 31.1%. These agricultural products include horses, sheep, goats, cows, camels, wheat and vegetables.
In foreign relations, Mongolia, which is a sovereign state, is also a member state of the United Nations and a member state of institutions under the United Nations.
