Hi, hi, hi. So, it's been a while for the last couple of weeks since I have considered buying a cargo bike. The reason is that I am often trapped in a traffic jam because I can't get faster in my car.
In the past, I dreamed of having a nice car that could easily slice traffic jams. And now I have it, but it turns out that having a car in a populated city is not the best idea—especially in the town where I live, Krakow, Poland. The second biggest city after Warsaw, and Chicago, is one of the most advanced in development. It's always a renovation every 2 km, and yes, it's jammed.
Also, I realize kids are depressed when trapped in a car during a traffic jam. So last summer, I decided to go by bike more; it was a fantastic experience.
But then, the bike without a motor is a struggle. Well, I am not a professional cyclist, so I have a right to be lazy in pedaling. And now, I have been thinking about having a cargo bike for a while.
The option goes to
1. Tern GSD 2023
Well, this bike is fantastic. But it's super expensive. And in Poland, they don't have a local store that sells it. The implication is that there is no facility to finance it if you have other expenses and priorities in your monthly spending.
2. Trek Fetch 2
It is a lovely bike, with a more stylish place to put the battery. But the issue is, its super expensive!
3. Moustache Cargo
It's a lovely bike, but no local shop in Poland sells it.
4. Decathlon R500E
It's a very nice bike, but hi, it's out of stock all the time.
5. Creme Happy wagon.
Initially, I was not convinced because I always needed a small, intelligent storage system bike. But this bike looks so good, is sold in local stores, is available, and has an option to finance it. Update: finally, I bought them in the local store with the code #bikewithkids.
I will update you on how it feels!
